i want to configure mach to mm,it is now configured to inches.
do i have just to go to config-select native units and then choose mm?
or i need to configure sth soewhere else?
and what about the homing limits?the values of the softmax tab, do i have to change them too to metric values??
ther's some confusion in my head about this, thanks.

Go to the settings tab (ALT-6) Lower left corner and click units.

Yes as part of your initial setup you select the native units.  Once that is set to metric then steps per unit,  soft limits, etc. will be in MMs

Go to the top of this page and get the "Mach3Mill Install and Config Guide" found under support/documentation.

That will give you a good start.

You can, of course, still use inches or mm. G20 makes the machine move in inches, G21 makes the machine move in millimeters. If you include these two commands in your programs, Mach will move in either. It will take all your settings and convert them to the other unit.

The only thing the set up units means is that ALL you settings, motors, tool offsets, general offsets etc etc must be in your selected unit - i.e. MM.
Not me driving the engine - I'm better looking.
