Griffin PowerMate

I just purchased one of the Griffin PowerMates. I downloaded the plugin. Since I am kind of new to this I have a couple of questions. Do I need to install the PowerMate software and configure anything for Mach3?
When I press the top of the device it toggles between the available axis but nothing happens when I turn the knob.
Am I missing something?
Thanks!

Dont have one so have never looked at the plugin but maybe you have to go into the plugin and set it up? You may find a config page for it from the operator menu.
