G Code movement interrupted by an input.
« on: August 14, 2014, 08:23:28 PM »
Hi there. A simply newby question: Is it possible to interrup the GCdde vel constant movement of an axis by an external signal and then continue the movement with a constant desaceleration.
Thanks in advanced.

Of just a single axis? Or all? And why?

Btw, I would think yes as to changing it for all axis simultaneously. Not sure of the ability with a single axis.
I want to die in my sleep like my grandfather, not like the passengers in the car! :-)

For all axis. It is a pick & place machine resolved by CNC: MACH3, AKZ250, Delta Servo drivers & motor.

>And why?
I need to change the movement in answer to a proximity sensor signal mounted in the hand.

Have your sensor call the feedhold button.
