ok davek. thanks again. you ve been really helpful. if i find a solution on how to reduce vibrations i ll post it here, but probably i ll go for the smaller nemas. :)

I'm going to hijack this old thread.

Having issues with stepper motors on my lathe.

X axis has 1200 oz-in with a JKD2060AC driver

Z-axis has 1700 oz-in with same driver

running off 60V source from Stepper Motor Canada store.

Running parallel ports from windows7 mach3 and a DB25 1R5AM break out board.

Here is video of X axis. Motor does this even without slide (just rotating the ball screw)
