thank you for the diagram , now I just need to figure out motor tuning and setting the drive to the proper mode

back on the subject of using the sure servo drive with mach , is the 5v common shown in the diagram +5v or -5v . My break out board has a jumper to choose the common terminals as - or + ,I am sure this is a simple thing I should know but I am a machinist and my knowledge of electronics is very limited

Usually the Common is the Neg (-)
