can i offset my z
say if its not deep enough and want to got -.01 deeper how can i do that
also where is the dia/cuttr comp

okay now i see it but the tool offset on/off wont come on

if you want to run a second pass a little deeper, double click on the dro and enter a value .01 higher than it currently is.

for instance if its at .08 enter .09, then when you run the next pass it will be .01 deeper

You will need G40 thru G42 in your program. G40 turns off the offset.
As you look down the cutters path G41 moves the cutter to the left and G42 to the right.

Note: You should have a G40 at the start of the program and at the tool change.

Under the Config tab is Tool Table. There is the tool length and diameter settings. Some people use the wear diameter and lenght offset and some do not.

Your g-code needs to have G41 or G42 to turn compensation on, and it also needs to contain proper lead in and lead out moves.
It's also possible to specify the offset amount in the g-code rather than the tool table, by using G41 Px.xx, where P is the tool radius.

well ya when i specify cutter comp on mastercam for wear it alwasy puts itin

i dont manually program anymore
its great to know how to be able to see whats going to happen before hand
but ive been spoiled by cadcam
