Display is upside down?
« on: September 08, 2013, 01:01:29 PM »
Hope I am not abusing this facility. But one more thing is niggling me.
Why please, is my toolpath screen display upside down?
i.e my zero appears in the top right hand corner and thus my toolpath and job are presented upside down,
I have just worked around it. But would be pleased to hear if there is a solution?

you need to have your positive motion of the tool working away from your left front corner.

"Gentlemen" I seem to have become "Aunt Sally" here. I am only just retired and almost de-learning to set up a Cad/Cam facility at home after a lifetime of working with and running engineering facilities.  Probably suffering from previously always having someone else on hand to fix it. I have no difficulty with, and probably can claim to have a deal of expertise in 3D Cad/Cam and general machining.
It is just the for me, that the vagaries of Mach3  are "initially" tripping me up.
So I will stick my wooden head up again from time to time and gladly suffer the indignity of asking.
Thanks for the useful replies.

Leadhead, we are guilty of "yanking your chain" a little bit. As Ostie first replied, just reverse the y axis but make sure the positive moves are in the right direction.
