a axis /ports and pins??
« on: September 11, 2013, 12:01:21 PM »
evrything is functioning (even the a axis) however the a axis only will move 1 direction. i hooked it up to the z axis and got both direcions out of it so i am assuming it is in my settings. any ideas on how to diagnose where it is or how to fix this problem, it is all i lack and i am tearing what little hair i have out trying to fix this.

                                                                           Thanks verry much,
                                                                                      Andy

You will have to provide more info such as type of drives, breakot board etc and also attach your xml.

Thank you hood,
I am on a pmdx-126 board with gecko drivers. what is confusing me is when i hook the a drive to the z i get all motion. so i am wondering if it a software program. I am only getting movement in one direction hooked up to the A drive. it is on a smoothstepper ethernet system. I am a bit of a rookie so itf you can tell me what the xml is i will be gald to get that. Thank you SO much-Andy

Open Mach and look lower right at profile name. Close Mach and browse to the Mach3 folder and look for a file with that name and a .xml file extension.
Right click it and select copy then go to desktop and paste it. Rename it to something unique, maybe cam4ge.exe then use the additional options button on the reply page to attach the file to the forum.

I dont think any of these are the correct xml's as you say you are using the ESS and the only one that has a device configured is set up to the Parallel Port.
