A stupid question, how to use the GOTO button?

I have read the manual and can't fine how to use the GOTO button.

I have gotten to the point, hit the GOTO button, touch a axis, type in location, what is next?

the goto button is useley for going to your work zero`s  x0. y0, z0, (a0 if its in there)work zero is what you are cutting, its what you set after homing the machine

No, there is a GOTO Home, and there is GOTO, you hit it it lights up, you touch a axis and add a location (say 1.5)

what is the name of the screen is it 1024.set

is it the buttion the arrow is pointing to

Sorry, it is main screen that comes up, it is what ever the Demo copy is, right from Mach3 D/L

ToGo, as has been said above , displays the distance left to go on the commanded move.
For example if you are at x0 y0 and you have NOT pressed the ToGo button, if you command a move to X10 Y10 then you will see the X and Y DRO count up to 10 as they approach the target location.

If however you have the ToGo button pressed then the DROs will start at 10 and count down to 0 as they move towards the commanded position, in other words they are showing the distance left to go as they aproach the commanded position.
