new cnc router problems

I am a newbie and just got a x6-2200L usb cnc engraver. It has a usb controller and i am running mach 3. I can not get mach3 to work. i know it is vague but it does nothing so i dont know where to start. the instructions were terrible

I would suspect the USB setup. What USB breakout board is being used?
How long are the USB cables?
Are you sure the USB port that you are using is working?
Is it USB 2.0 or 3.0?
Do you see the digital Inputs such as the emergency stop switch.

How long are the USB cables? standard legth

Are you sure the USB port that you are using is working? YES

Is it USB 2.0 or 3.0? 2.0

Do you see the digital Inputs such as the emergency stop switch. there is an energency stop button i have checked that it is good

Are there any LED's on the USB board that indicate coms or I/O?
I have just had some issues with a CNC router that I have converted and it turned out to be a problem with the PC.

took the cover off the controller and usb card has red blinking light

That normally indicates that the USB coms are functioning. If you try and jog an axis you should see it blink faster. The machine should move at the same time.
I will be away from my PC now as I have to go to a customer. Don't know where you are but I am in New Zealand which means my time zone is out of sync with most other members.
