keyboard control
« on: December 29, 2015, 06:07:13 PM »
hello
I am having a strange problem with my keyboard arrows and controlling my gantry. The up and down arrows are moving my x axis and right and left are moving my y axis. If I use the tab key to bring up the control panel it is moving correctly. (Z+ Z- Ect.) I have tried to reassign the hot keys and even tried assign them backwards to see if this would change the problem. I not sure if this is just a bug with Mach what. Everything else runs fine. Just wonder if anyone has run across this.

Thanks for your help.
 Tom

Hi Tom,

Welcome to the forum.

If reassigning the hotkeys does not work for you then there could be an issue with your Mach3 installation. A re-install of Mach3 may cure the problem.

Before uninstalling the existing version and installing new...

Backup the following to the desktop, or even better, a USB drive:

XML(Profile) – This stores you’re settings for Mach3, if you lose it you will need to re-setup you’re ports and pins, motor tuning, etc.
Screensets
Macros/Brains

Tom I had the same thing happen to me on my machine and I had to reinstall Mach3. After the reinstall and redoing all the settings it worked fine.  Wish I knew about saving the settings because I had to start from scratch.
