Wanting to update my version of mach 3 to newer release
« on: September 08, 2018, 10:02:48 PM »
Hello,
I haven't  been on here in a while.
When I did my retro back  in  2011, Hood gave me a lot of help.
I want to update to a newer version.
Can you tell me what I need to look at and save in my current settings?
I don't  want to update  and lose my current tuning and parameters.
 Thanks,
Jack

Make a secure backup copy of your existing Mach3 folder.

Install version R3.043.062 over the top of your old version. http://www.machsupport.com/software/downloads-updates/

Your existing settings should all be preserved.

If, for some reason they are not then you need to copy across from your backup your <profile> .xml file.
In addition, you may possibly need to copy across any special screen .set files (and their associated bitmap folders) together with any Brains, Macro's and Plugins that you may have been using (just copy the relevant folder from the backup to the new install).

Tweakie.
PEACE
